The Caught In Flight Photo Contest is now accepting photo and video submissions for the next annual Rust Removers Aviation Seminar. Enter your aviation photos and videos for a chance to win one of three grand prizes. Here’s what you need to know.
Introduction
The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) is proud to present the Caught In Flight Photo Contest as an opportunity to share the world of aviation through the lens of those who know it best.

This contest is open for submissions throughout the year, with winners to be determined in February of the next year. All eligible submissions will receive a prize upon entry.

All eligible submissions will receive a prize. We appreciate your participation in the contest and we want you to know that!
All eligible submissions will also be entered to win one of three grand prizes. Two (2) prizes will be awarded annually for the photo category, and one (1) prize annually for the video category. Prizes are sponsored by Diamond Doors.
The winning entry(ies) in each category will be determined as follows:
A committee formed by Diamond Doors and COPA will evaluate the submissions based on the following criteria:
- The submission shows creativity and originality in the composition of the subject matter.
- The submission is directly related to the world of aviation.
The top ten submissions in the photo category and the top five submissions in the video category will be brought to social media and the Caught In Flight voting page and the final winners determined by popular vote each February.
Grand prize winners will be announced at the annual Rust Removers Aviation Seminar. You do not need to be in attendance to receive your prize.
Eligibility
- Submissions must be from a current COPA member in good standing with COPA.
- Submissions must be your own original creation. Any unauthorized submission of work that is not your own will result in immediate and permanent disqualification from the contest.
- Submissions found to be artificially generated will be immediately disqualified from the contest.
- Submissions may not contain explicit content, suggestion of explicit content, reference to illegal activities, or reference to illegal substances in any form. Submission of such content will result in immediate and permanent disqualification from the contest.
- Up to three (3) photo submissions and one (1) video submission will be accepted per member every year.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting content to this contest, the member (you) grants the contest organizers (Diamond Doors Inc and COPA) the legal right to use the content without restriction for advertising, media, and marketing purposes.
The information you provide in the Submission Form will be used by the contest organizers solely for the purposes of verifying the authenticity of the submitted content, to send your prize as described in the Prizes tab, and to contact you about the grand prize should you win.
We will not sell or share this information with anyone else.
The contest organizers reserve the right to make changes to the contest rules, terms and conditions, and prizes without reservation and without notice. However, any changes will be updated here.
