OVERVIEW

Column followers are a wind protection option used for steel building applications. The column followers are located at the bottom inside corners of the door and slide along the inside flange of the building columns or the self-supporting header. They prevent the bi-fold door from pushing out from the building when a significant positive air pressure is present inside.

The column follower pin is sleeved in a nylon bushing to reduce noise and provide a smooth quiet operation.

The column followers are installed to the steel frame in factory and are easily adjustable to accommodate different flange depths.

FAQ

What is the proper overlap of my column follower to the column flange?
The column follower pin should overlap the flange by a minimum of 1” and should be spaced from the web of the column by a minimum of ¾”.
How do I adjust my column follower?
You can easily adjust the column follower by loosening the set screw to the pin. Once adjusted tighten the set screw to 8ftlbs.

The door is free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years.

The door will not warp, crack, or buckle under normal intended use as a door.
