A Diamond door is a great choice for your farm building.
Here’s a few reasons why.
Get a Larger Door Opening
Bifold doors provide a clear opening that is wider and taller than what is possible with an overhead door. In addition, because they are mounted to the exterior of the building, the self-supporting header allows you to install the door above your building’s roofline.
Make Your Door Easier to Use
A Diamond door makes it easier to access your building. Compared to sliding doors that are frequently difficult to move, bifold doors open at the push of a button. Add the remote opener and autolock package to make it even simpler.
Spend Less Time on Door Maintenance
Designed with fewer moving parts and built from quality materials, you can expect to spend less time on maintenance with a Diamond bifold door. Instead, you can spend more time on what matters to you. Diamond doors are low maintenance and reliable.
Designed for Easy Installation
We deliver your door directly to your building site – pre-assembled and ready for installation. And if you need someone to handle the install for you, we have a wide network of great door installers across North America.

Before & After Diamond Doors
Retrofit Quonset & Shop Doors
If you are looking to upgrade from overhead sectional or sliding doors, Diamond agricultural bifold doors are easily installed on existing farm buildings like machine shops, sheds, or quonsets.
Easily Install Yourself
If you have the time you can hang the door yourself to save on install costs. Our doors ship in an “A” frame, fully assembled, pre-wired, and finish painted for your convenience. We also offer installation through a network of dealers and service professionals for busy seasons or when installing yourself isn’t ideal.
Maximize Overhead Space
Installed to the outside of your building, bifold doors do not take up valuable headroom inside your building. With our self-supporting header option the door can even extend past the roofline, giving you the maximum amount of overhead space that your building will allow. This is a popular option for arch rib quonset retrofits.
Convenient Design
With greaseless hinges and fewer moving parts than other door designs, you won’t be spending time fixing this piece of equipment. Diamond doors are high quality, convenient, and long lasting. Add the auto-lock and remote opener so you can enter and exit with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bifold Farm Doors
Can I operate a bifold door in high winds?
We do not recommend operating a bifold door during high winds. While the door is designed to withstand high winds in the closed and locked position, having it open during extreme weather conditions could result in severe damage to your door, building, or property.
How difficult is it to install a Diamond door?
Installing a Diamond door is relatively simple. Doors can be installed with standard tools and equipment (including a fork lift or similar equipment). We provide a complete installation manual with every door to guide the installation process, and our service team is available to answer any questions that may arise.
What door sizes does Diamond Doors offer?
While common door sizes vary depending on industry, Diamond Doors manufactures doors of almost any size. We’ve built everything from general aviation hangar doors, quonset doors, farm shop doors, and a hangar door for the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada that measures over 100 feet wide.
What happens if I need to use my door when the power is out?
We have included an emergency manual opener on each door motor to ensure the door can be open and closed when there is a power failure. Each motor is equipped with a hex shaft, which can be used with a socket wrench or cordless drill to manually turn the motor.
How well does a bifold door seal against harsh weather?
A Diamond bifold door provides an excellent seal against harsh weather, especially compared to other door styles like overhead and sliding doors. We include several door components in our design that work together to provide a secure seal.
Can I install a bifold door on an existing building?
Yes, Diamond bifold doors are easily installed on an existing building. If the building is not capable of supporting the door, you can add the required structural supports to your existing building or ask about our self supporting header option.
Where can I find an installation crew for my Diamond door?
Diamond Doors has installation crews across North America. If you are looking to hire someone to install the doors you sell, or to service doors for your existing customers, give our office a call and we would be happy provide you with the names of trusted door installers.
Folding Machine Shed Doors
While we have standard sizes that we manufacture, each door is engineered to your building specifically, taking into account building specifications, features, and options needed. With competitive pricing, we can offer you a high quality door at a price you can afford. You can easily get an estimate with our quote builder or contact our office to speak with a sales associate.

Case Study
Bifold Door Gives New Life to Decades Old Quonset
As a 5th generation farmer, Brodie Durston understands the value of hard work. When his grandfather started the current farm location near Dauphin, Manitoba in 1959, he ran a mixed calf and grain operation. In the early 1960s, he built a quonset that housed his seed cleaning operation. But as the farm continued to grow, it became apparent that more space was required to keep up with the needs of the farm.
Now using the quonset as an unheated shop, Brodie found that the aging sliding doors couldn’t keep up with their needs. They were becoming difficult to move and frequently jammed with snow and debris, causing extra work and frustration. After all, running a mixed calf and grain operation makes efficiency and ease of use a priority in day-to-day operations.
That’s when Brodie started looking at options to upgrade the sliding doors on his quonset.
