A Diamond door is a great choice for your industrial building.
Here’s a few reasons why.
Convenient and Dependable Door Operation
A dependable bifold door ensures that your industrial business continues to run efficiently. Diamond bifold doors open at the push of a button. Add the remote opener and autolock package to make it even simpler.
Safety is Our Priority
We include a variety of safety features and guards, including high strength lift cables, an electric brake system, and photoelectric safety sensors. We want to do our part to ensure your employees have a safe work environment.
Spend Less Time on Door Maintenance
Designed with fewer moving parts and built from quality materials, you can expect to spend less time on maintenance with a Diamond bifold door. Instead, you can spend more time doing what’s important. Diamond doors are low maintenance and reliable.
Built to Last for Years
The best return on your door investment is with a bi-fold door. Manufactured with quality materials, Diamond Doors are the best long term solution for your commercial building, saving your business from high energy bills, maintenance expenses, and repair costs.
Industrial Door Features and Options
Our industrial bifold doors are equipped with many industry leading standard features. Diamond doors have been tested to applicable requirements and are certified to a UL325 standard. They are a reliable and long lasting choice for your commercial building.

Electrical Auto-Latch / Auto-Lock
The auto-lock is the easy, reliable locking option for your door. Using this system allows for a complete remote access door, as the lock engages automatically when the door closes and releases when the door is opened.
Reduced Heat Loss
Your door is closed in the winter more than it’s open, so a strong seal and quality insulation are important. Our insulation package includes a closed cell neoprene foam around the perimeter of the door and the insulation panels are fastened to the exterior of the steel frame, creating a full thermal break.
Natural Lighting Options
There are many benefits of natural light for employees. Add our polycarbonate sheeting, standard windows, or a combination of both to add some sunshine into your building. Our insulated options will ensure you can enjoy the benefits of sunshine without the energy costs.
Safety Features
In contrast to competitor systems, our cables never overlap. Unlike a cable drum, our design has a continuous diameter. The cables wrap onto the driveline itself, instead of overlapping onto a drum. The result? Superior longevity, reduced cable wear, consistent opening speed, and no frequent tensioning.
Non-overlapping Cable Lift System
At Diamond Doors, we believe that lift cables are the stronger, more reliable choice for bifold doors. Our non-overlapping driveline is a unique cable system that is long lasting, low maintenance, and solves many of the common issues of traditional cable doors.
Before & After Diamond Doors
Retrofit Industrial Bifold Doors
If you are looking to upgrade from an overhead door or add an additional opening, an industrial bifold door is for you and your business. Our doors are easily installed on existing structures.
Maximize Headroom
Installed to the outside, bifold doors do not take up valuable headroom inside your building. This is ideal for buildings that have moving overhead cranes or have large equipment to move. With our self-supporting header option the door can even extend past the roofline, giving you the maximum amount of overhead space that your building will allow.
Low Maintenance Design
Our door design overall is refined and simple, with less moving parts than overhead doors or competitor bifold designs. We have eliminated ongoing maintenance from our (greaseless) hinges and locking system. Our driveline is low maintenance, prevents cable overlap, and increases door longevity.
Easy Installation
You want to have your door up and running quickly. With our short lead time and easy install we can help keep your business running efficiently. Our doors arrive completely assembled, pre-wired, and finish painted.

Frequently Asked Questions About Aircraft Hangar Doors
Can I operate a bifold door in high winds?
We do not recommend operating a bifold door during high winds. While the door is designed to withstand high winds in the closed and locked position, having it open during extreme weather conditions could result in severe damage to your door, building, or property.
How difficult is it to install a Diamond door?
Installing a Diamond door is relatively simple. Doors can be installed with standard tools and equipment (including a fork lift or similar equipment). We provide a complete installation manual with every door to guide the installation process, and our service team is available to answer any questions that may arise.
What door sizes does Diamond Doors offer?
While common door sizes vary depending on industry, Diamond Doors manufactures doors of almost any size. We’ve built everything from general aviation hangar doors, quonset doors, farm shop doors, and a hangar door for the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada that measures over 100 feet wide.
What happens if I need to use my door when the power is out?
We have included an emergency manual opener on each door motor to ensure the door can be open and closed when there is a power failure. Each motor is equipped with a hex shaft, which can be used with a socket wrench or cordless drill to manually turn the motor.
How well does a bifold door seal against harsh weather?
A Diamond bifold door provides an excellent seal against harsh weather, especially compared to other door styles like overhead and sliding doors. We include several door components in our design that work together to provide a secure seal.
Can I install a bifold door on an existing building?
Yes, Diamond bifold doors are easily installed on an existing building. If the building is not capable of supporting the door, you can add the required structural supports to your existing building or ask about our self supporting header option.
Where can I find an installation crew for my Diamond door?
Diamond Doors has installation crews across North America. If you are looking to hire someone to install the doors you sell, or to service doors for your existing customers, give our office a call and we would be happy provide you with the names of trusted door installers.

Case Study
Maverick Industries Welding Shop
Maverick Industries is a manufacturer of various types of products, one of the main ones being the Intersteel waste handling equipment. Maverick Industries needed a door for their welding shop that would give them the interior headroom to operate an overhead crane. The Diamond Doors team was able to provide them with a custom solution: a 16’x16′ bi-fold door installed to the outside of their building.
Through the sales process, we worked with President and CEO Kyle Wiebe to choose the features and options best suited for the project…
